REVELATION

I spent years looking in the mirror Trying to find somebody to love Chasing shadows in the silence Thinking I would never be enough Every scar became a story Every tear became a chain Till a voice inside me whispered You were never made to break

I was blinded by opinions By the noise, by all the doubt But the truth was always living Deep within me crying out

Then the walls came down And the light broke through I finally saw myself The way heaven do

It was a revelation I found the beauty in my heart Like a fire in the darkness I was shining from the start No more hiding who I am No more shame inside my soul This is my revelation Now I finally know

I am strong I am worthy I am more than what they say And the love inside my spirit Gonna light up every day This is my revelation

Now I walk a little taller With the weight gone from my chest Cause I learned the soul grows stronger After surviving every test All the pain that tried to break me Only taught me how to rise Now the girl I used to doubt Looks fearless in my eyes
